Arkonas Call

They came at night to burn down the holy shrine,
Blood thirsty like wild dogs,
A sign was burning on the Danish shields,
And fanaticism shone in the eyes.

Before the first arrowhead flashed among the stars,
The defenders scent the enemy,
But it was for nothing - when the day awakened the world,
There was a fire all around.

Although the brave warriors did not lack strength,
Though the teeth of the rock* guarded them,
The royal bishop brought power to the people,
And everyone was eager to fight.

And the city fell, and time changed its course,
The enemy of the servant of the gods bled,
He robbed the treasure and raised his banner,
He has defiled the old temple.

But we are still alive and the memory is in us,
That time will not perish in nothingness,
Even though the world turns, it keeps rushing us,
This is one summon: Arkona!
