Man of Sorrows


"...I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God." (Hosea 2:23)

Acquainted with grief
To die for us all
Our reviled esteem
Fulfilling God's law
For our transgressions
He was beaten and shamed
For God's forgiveness
If we call on His Name

Despise not His leading us to repentance
Contrite hearts He welcomes with full acceptance

What is it that you live for?
Do you chase the wind?
Christ will give you much more
Do not die in sin
As all else fades away
Put your trust in Him
His words will remain

By His stripes we are healed
