fugitive

either it tends to be before
or it tends to be after
my mind is like a fugitive
from out there it carries something
it won't stop
'cause it has a new plan
it runs out into the future somewhere
into virtual over there

so it tends to be everywhere
it's nowhere to be found
every shred of life
it grasps into an empty hand
but it cannot be put together
what the time has broken apart
the fugitive keeps on running
in a vicious circle of chances

only here and now the heart's shouting enough is enough
it doesn't know how to gather up the broken glass
only here and now the heart's full of tears
it wants to gather up into one the scattered sense

the fugitive hasn't heard
neither shouting nor tears
he went on towards the outskirts
he ran along the wasteland
he listened to different thruths
from the west to the east
but hasn't vanished the lack
but hasn't vanished the thirst

when he stopped
at a crossroads
he started to go downwards
rather than run upwards
it was so hard to walk
the acute pain in the knees
wanted to stop him
he didn't let it

suddenly here and now the mind fell down into the heart
soon it gathered the scattered world into one
suddenly here and now before and after vanished
an eternity opens up - I am - this is it
