Dark October - Upon the Trail of Tranquillity

I lay suspended in ice,
It's clear my time has come.
I pray for an exit to this horror.
I claw and scream,
Begging for mercy,
The silence becomes my day,
As I witness earth fall away.
With the whispers,
Of sun and light...
I need to know you're here...
Wading through miles of snow.
It's clear to me that I won't survive.
The silence kisses the trees,
Watching in the sound mist of winter.
Buried in the snow,
I will never leave this place alive.
When the sun came around,
I was nowhere to be found.
Like the birds,
I raise my hands to the sky.
