Atavisma - A Subterranean Life

An eternal winter is awaiting us
Freezing us to the bones
Putrid air asphyxiate all beings
We need to burrow

Lands are desolated
Our old civilizations are now fallen
All that we have created is ruined
Natural disasters keep coming

Deeper and deeper, further down
We must create new realms
We're pressed for time
Above, there's only death

Inoculating our own plague
Existence to the very depths
Will maybe just repulse our curse
May the Earth save us

Hope of ever seeing the surface
Is now gone forever
Cold and stench were all annihilated
Living is not and will not be

We were promised to a great future
Supposedly master of Nature
We can only lament her mercy
What have we done ?

A subterranean life
That's our burden
May that humans finds pardon
Into the ground
