The adversaries priming
Like wolves within the snow
A consciousness is dying
Too stubborn to let go

When the daylight comes for me
I see what I am
An alloyed extension
Of invisible hands
And yet I risk more than
The credits I earn
My soul is in ashes

The raven in the updraft
I soar on borrowed wings
With heart beneath the construct
A cobbled mess of strings
Red echoes in the fracture
Sing to my weary mind
Protected by the rapture
I'm one of my own kind
