I am this nightmare. I’m afraid of me.
I stay awake for I take away my sleep.
how have I become this way? I don’t even know.
I’ve to get out of here! how do I get out of me?

the nightshift comes to soothe the pain.
nothing ever comes to take it finally away.
the nightshift comes to release the ghosts a while.
nothing ever stays to kill this pain inside.

please, soothing night come and bring me down to tears.
lift me up from crawling and destroy all my fears.
I have no enemies so I turn against myself.
overgrowing madness has turn my life to hell.
my soul is fucked up and I’ve got no strength left.
please, release me from my own grip!

with eyes wide open, I feel them closed
everything around is dreary and frightening
just as a constant nightmare
from which I can’t awake…for I am sleepless.

I’m hopeless, faithless, loveless…
all taken away by this presence.
