Obsidian Shrine - At the Gates

Form the lines, shields and swords primed
Bring the battering ram it's time
For millennia we've waited to storm the pearly gates
A call to arms, battle horns sounding
Throngs of violent hell soldiers await the breach
For blood they thirst and blood they will receive

The thrown of god shall be cast down
Powerless angels will die for the crown
Gabriel blows his horn, final hour
While the army of heaven begins to cower
To pour through the gate an infernal army
Paths of gold shadowed by demons swarming
The souls of righteous overcome with fear
As roars of the demonic hoard draw near

Lucifer, clad in armor, rides high upon the dragon's back
Spitting flames, scorching the ground, it trembles beneath their feet
The command to attack now echoes through the heavens
With power, with might, the gates are breached

With a single blow of the ram and a crashing screech
The clashing of steel and the gnashing of teeth
Golden shards of the gates lie broken in a crumpled heap
Blood will soon be flowing upon the golden streets


Sinners slaughter saints
All mercy for the pious denied
Raped by the hounds of hell
As they raped children in life

Christ recrucified
Denied any second chance
Torch the heavens
As smoke blacks out the horizon

Cast out the martyr, so that all may see
Impale the angels that ignored humanities plea
Smash the crown, from your impotent god's head
Fetch the four horsemen, tear him to shreds
Drawn and quartered, ripped limb from limb
Feeding hungry demons remains of him

Paradise no more
All divinity slaughtered
With hell at the gates
A new era is fostered
