Starving, praying for scraps
Scavenging, digging through filth with the vermin
Never living, always waiting
For salvation

Bow my head as the masses anoint me
With their fear, with their suffering
Gladly shedding their blood for the chosen one

I am the chosen one
You servile peons
You will consecrate my godhood with your blood

My words are empty
Devoid of divinity
Until, in desperation,
