Charlotta & I wre kidnapped by
a pirate king with hat and ring
His garrison seemed Bulgarian
The ship was high,
the rail was low
The deck was huge,
there he let us go

And so he threw onto the deck
Green peas, sweet peas
As many as the stars in the sky
We shouted "Please!"
´cause if a pea
would be lost,
he´d cut our heads off

For days and nights
we´d crawl on the deck
collecting the peas
catching ´em on their way
to the water

Hej hå, hej hå

We were hungry as bears in spring
and green peas was
one of my favourite things to eat
And the pirate would
grind his sabre
´til it dazzled us, made us blind

We were so afraid,
that kept us awake

And one still norning
the sip came close to land
There on a bridge was our father!

He dove into the sea
And so did we
He saved my big sister and me
He dove into the sea
And so did we
He saved us from the pirate king
