A Lost Lineage


I saw the eidolon
soaring into the nightsky
I heard the blackbirds
with their dismal cry
Perching on the trees
in the black forest
deep where the falling snow
will never cease

I've buried my hopes in this pit

Earth and the sky
The rise and the fall
The reason of I
In the embrace of fire
the stars were dancing at their own desire

Among the ashes
an era is gone
with no witness left

The ancient oak has fallen
Her light is fading more each night
I remember those winter mornings

Sun rose
above the lands
pale as the skin of a ghost
As the cold maelstrom
caressed like silk texture

And landscape was the canvas
on which snow had drawn
the portrait of melancholia

I've travelled so far
only to find myself again
on the threshold of life
contempling the fate of man

And stars
were somberly
looking down on us
I felt one with the chosmic entity
A fusion of mind and space-time

In the sidereal silence
Here we gaze at the vestige of origins
We are wanderers
on a doomed path
And our matter
belongs to the stars


A golden nectar
seeping out from the chalice
and feeding the fire
A languid ode
sung with a strained voice
to bid this land farewell

Back to our journey to the end

I foresaw
the harbingers of death
like black silhouettes
Approaching above the snowy peaks
their dark shapes eclipsed the Sun

A lineage of gods
A circle made of stones
Forgotten in the woods of time
