I see the people stare and quickly look away

I see their faces turn and some begin to pray

Freedom of what to think, but no freedom to say

Branded a traitor, for questioning the king



Viewed as a leper, I won’t let myself be saved

Kept from the village because they say I’m unclean

My thought is a sickness and contagious to the free

But you won’t recognize, there’s more demons like me



I will not betray myself

Keeping my thoughts in a cell

Waist my freedom like you waist your freedom
