The sun stares down, as my blood starts to run cold
The walls of sanity begin to fall
Constricting silence invades what was once me
It bores into my brain
I feel the pressure creeping in to take control

I crawl deeper
I fall further

I’m crawling deeper to a place that's unknown
My frail form is failing faster, every twist and turn
Of all the reasons to abandon me here
You go silent and expect me to walk aimlessly

I feel no guidance, no clue or concern
The search continues to an end I fear will tear me to the fucking bone
I feel so lost, where can you be?
Just listen to my voice
I hear so faintly

Standing idle in a daze
There seems to be no trace of help in sight
These beads of sweat rain down
To mark a path of no return

I succumb to the suffering, I find solace in the silence

I feel it lurking through the back of my mind
The unwanted, detached child of the abandoned cries.
My despair, no saviour to me.
I'm drifting in and out, l‘m losing time
My mental fibres are stretched beyond their breaking point
Withered to ruin without reprieve
Hallucinations begin in the cracks of my fractured sight

Painting my pain on a canvas of skin
With blades for brushes and blood for my ink
Memento to the memory of who I used to be
Immortalised in self laceration
