Wraithborn - Voice of the Red Book

I wake up to the sound of voices.
“Bastien, Bastien” in the dead of night.
And to my feet I quickly rise.
Bone blade in hand.
I look around and see not a soul to bare.

No doors make sound,
No boots to a step.
I am completely alone,
yet my name is heard
so delicately.
My book,
it glows right in front of me.
I force the pages open
to see…

Xelvellol: “Bastien, listen to me here;
I see you’ve come so far.
I am not one to fear.”

Bastien: “Calmness alludes me.
My pages talking to me.”

Xelvellol: “Listen, boy, and hear me.
You may have use within me.”

Bastien: “Go ahead,
I’m listening.”

Xel: “I’ll strike a deal with you,
if you’re willing.
“Your dearest mother,
the one you wish you knew…”

Bastien: “I’m listening.”

Xel: “She wants her dearest baby boy
to come and join her.”

Bastien: “Where is she?”

Xel: “I will show you when-“

Bastien: “Where is she?!”

Xel: “Silence, boy!
You will be granted everything,
Just help me with my task to complete.

“Perform my summoning,
and bring me to your side.
Don't keep your mother waiting.”

Without a second though,
I pour the Priest’s blood
into the shape before me
within these cursed pages.
Identical to the scar upon my hand.

in the middle of the blood red ring.
