Long winded
I dredge through the debauchery
cancer second hand from ugly crowds
the plumes of smoke and the debris
i see the paths of ascension
but i have been conditioned to see
the paths not intended for me
stick your neck out and spread your name
can’t deal. just hang your head in shame
into the guillotine
this path
not intended for me
write me out of a false history
i am headed to the grave for an afterlife of infamy
canonized in misery
I did not deserve the unrelenting stream of slander rolling off the tongue of propaganda fiends
the spin of earthly rotation will void me of indecency and leave my name where it was meant to be
strange times, misunderstood in this life
forgotten / obscured
no control how the author will remember me
I’m canonized in sympathy
have mercy on my soul
I’d rather be forgotten
but somethings I don’t control
in time you will forget my name
with time you can erase the
short hand of this passive life of dread
remember
they’ll love you when you’re dead.
