Faith emerging from the soul
Growing out of fear
Born and died in pain.

Fools wiser than the wise
Human race defy
We denied our soul.

But now the curse is sevenfold
Wisdom left the young and the old
The prophets died the message failed
And the truth is still unveiled.

Ever since the dawn of times
Your immortal spirit shines
You created gods to serve you
Then you begged them to desert you.

Overrun by endless silence
Craving for a new defiance
Than you woke up in a war
And prayed for peace… peace forevermore!

Feeling mighty, full of power
Raise another Babel’s tower
Build another bloody throne
For your heir to carry on.

Overrun by endless violence
Craving for a higher guidance
Praying for the final war
One to end it all.

Reading through the chapters of the Human Saga
I don’t feel I’m reading something new
We keep repeating all the same old saga
A never-ending déja vu.

Dream another dream
Fight another fight
Redefine again and again
Wrong and right.

Fantasy, rebellion
Splendour and dismay
Chase the grand illusion
Till all meanings fade away.

You dreamed of glory, dreamed of power
Dreamed to have the final hour
Live a story of your own
That the next will carry on.

All the secrets desecrated
All the science you’ve created
In the end, you’re all alone
Fearing the unknown.
