Untamed Land - In Darkness Awakened

And he felt the violent shudder
A groan of bygone memories
The sound of rain and thunder
Beckoned him to sacred reveries

Temple floors, arid and unkempt
Cracked and split asunder
Captured is the blood of sunset
Fire Totem woke from slumber

And in his heart he trembles
For the day carries the night
Evokes the bestial symbol
The elder snake one eyed

The beast opens its toxic maw
Unleashed roar rouses the dead
It reddens the moon, and dims the stars
Unravels the cosmic thread



Echoes from buried ancestors
Eclipse the crashing of the skies
Bellows the wind as a force enters
Amidst the serpent’s cries

Sign of the incarnate
Etched upon the hallowed portal
Ignites the inner darkness
The infinite becomes mortal

His nightly vigil ended
And his prayers answered
He stoops with knees bended
Before the great Protector



One thousand winters descended
Since the warrior’s breath was ended
But his return was destined
When the World Soul was threatened



The hour of strife is arrived
Primal gods of death collide
