Let me follow every trail I know
I’ll find the dead end on the wings of the crow
Yes, I can always shadow the road with tempo
I’m holding the line I’ve been training to go

But no matter the way I choose to pursue
I train with the plates that only the few
Will attempt to pick up from the floor to the sky
Overcoming the fear that keeps growing inside

I take the step in, then I fall through the floor
But I can hit the bottom of the room below
And then find myself again in the expanse aglow

But no matter the gate I look to expose
I find my way to places here that nobody knows
I end up alone and in a desolate place
Back track the steps of the deserted race

Another possibility descending to the ground
I fight back through the fears to preserve this hope
But the breakdown leaves me at the end of the rope
