In the Eye of the Beholder


At the gates of dawn
With the sights of tomorrow
I stand here to see I am the only beholder

Life is leading nowhere
Leading nowhere but fast
Time seems to just melt away
Melt away for you, mortals

Losing tracks of your days
Of your days in the past
But somehow I could not care less
Care less of your nature

I say to my self
As I see
These poor wretched creatures to be
Condemned to constant misery

In the eyes of the beholder
Can this be only way
In the eyes of the beholder
Guess there is nothing more to say
Shake my head

Cries of the battlefield
Death is the only reward
Given to those they call heroes
Laughing is all I can do

Laboratory rodents lost in a maze
Lost in the maze of your self
Eternally seeking for a meaning
For a meaning, but why brother?

They say the ways of the demons are evil
They say that the world of the spirits is false
But if you could see through my eyes you would know
That nothing could be as corrupt as your soul
