Christmas came just like each year before
We sit and drink and stuff our faces
Wanting nothing more

We spend a ton to prove we really care
And for one night a year
We try to love our fellow man

Minor celebs share their storied of hardship and woe
We never tire of hearing another dull festive song
Somewhere abroad filthy heathens
Murder each other again
Another tsunami or earthquake demolishes foreign land

With horrified excitement
We watch clips of someone else’s misery
We praise the Lord for keeping us safe
And donate old clothes to charity

Save us now
Don’t care how
Be our star
This is how good we are!

Shine the light
Take our fright
Show the way
Do not lead us astray!

With each passing year fewer and fewer
Meet round Christmas tree
If everyone dies and never comes back
What does living even mean?
Awful foreboding stares out of faces
Of ash and stone
It beggars belief that this house of sorrow
Used to be our happy home

Why can’t we ever break free?
Forever acting in this tragedy
Every December we shall join hands again
Until this joke will have come to an end
