Moon Valley - Life Sweet Life

What's with this face?
Unfamiliar, though I know it well, too well.
The time and space
Seem to fit but it's so hard to tell, yeah.

Everything's upside down, I've got small though I've grown.
In this book of my own, I'm a dog failing to catch the bone.

All the young boy's visions,
Mmm, of a house with a swimming pool
Seem to be so far away from this,
Oh, keep making me feel like a fool.

Surprised again
This is not what I was aiming for, I swear.
Another plan
Had to be abandoned, to be fair, oh.

Waiting for unexpected to jump on my floor,
Then it comes undetected, just breaking in through the backdoor.

Want some more cause I feel like I like it this way.
I adore what I've got, since it helps me to get through the day.

And the young man's visions,
Mmm, of a family and a loving wife.
There is no resemblance here at all.
Guess this is what they call "the life".
