She's walking all alone
And she's fearless
After all these streets are her own
A blind eye is turned
From any sign of commotion
Her mama still waits...
She never came home

And it's that a shame
Too bad just the same
I'm keeping my hands clean
What can anyone do
Where do you lay the blame
So sad anyway what was that name
It's always the same
Just as long as it's far from home
Far from home
They had lived here over forty years
Had only one another
Walking hand in hand still

The hunter follows
Unseen close behind his prey and now
Her prison's at home
And or some change ... Widowed

The child keeps pretending
Everything is all right
It doesn't always hurt the bad
And the bruises you can hide
Grows up anger bottled up
And kept inside so now...
Tradition passed on another silent child
