I drowned into the sea of endless night
with sorrow by my side i walked in the shadows
i came into a place so cold, yet so warm
there i stood as darkness slowly faded away

time stood still as i saw your eyes watching me
and i looked into these eyes of the morning light

i’ve written your name so many times as i walked in solitude
but i returned, rose again and killed the dying in my soul

a freezing grip got colder inside my soul
as i looked into these eyes of the deepest darkness
you never saw the dying of the light in my eyes
once again i entered the heart of darkness

i’ve written that name so many times as i walked in solitude
darkness has returned, risen again and killed my forlorn soul

now there is only a dream in me
and every fading shadow reminds me of that name
