Ichneutic - Beneath the Undreamed

Barren- except for the inner warmth of the dark shroud,
waste land, but within I am clean.
I stand alone at the path few have trodden,
save the wolves and beasts of the ancient earth,
whispering, but I am one and clear in mind,
An eternal winter.

The forest so deep, the calling so clear,
the forest so deep, my challenge of fear.

The moon above lightens my way,
as shards brake through the woven roof.
Solitude, beneath the undreamed,
I sleep under the mythical stone,
in the hope that the dreams will come.
Drifting through dominions of sadness and despair.

The forest so deep, the calling so clear,
the forest so deep, my conquest so near.

Nearing the oracle, the wolves call,
backed by whispering wrath.
Travelling, able to shift with the beast,
the astral power of lucid being.
I've found my peace

I stand aloft the roof of the earth,
the sweet cold smell of the forest below
I am there,

I will transcend this life
