Glass egg - Tightrope

Been staying up late thinking of all the ways… I hold myself hostage
And what I find, is given time, I can reason away any sense of motion

I get lost in circles I spin, web like tightrope– I'm walking

I keep pretending I've changed
so I can stay the same
Wouldn't be surprised if I never find what I'm looking for

I'm holding water
I'm losing my grip

I wonder if I tried harder
To figure out what I'm feeling
Would I be stuck in the middle
Still holding out for a moment
