Ghost Ship Octavius - The Maze

Far within this haze,
a breath from patient whispers
travels on...

Now tumbling in our maze,
our spirits never after
looked upon...

What we planted
looked like it'd be strong and fruitful,
fate intervenes
we all were
wrong

As we climb, the branches break,
and the leaves fall down as we make
our awful song...

Another chapter gives
a living to our laughter,
dying to despair...

The ink I write in thins,
I try, in haste, to capture
everything I fear

As I'm thrown through a tumbling haze,
my mind focuses on the things
I cannot solve

Often woeful, and very small,
things that shouldn't irk me at all,
but won't resolve

My friends – once scattered
in here – we're gathered
one maze – no master
come feign disaster!

Far within this maze,
are spirits never after looked upon
and in our awful song,
we leave its ears in boredom,
terrible and long
