Fallen Yggdrasil - Nightflower

(oracle:)
"A world without any space
for sensitive flowers to bloom
is forced to die:
Raindrops fall to the ground
where the crystal ice-ferns burn
to extinguish and fertilize the fields of vein.
Sleeping dreams awake
and are in blossom now."

(human being:)
"Oh thick water I drink
- the blood of time -
you trickle away!
What will remain?"

(oracle:)
"Only nightflowers will remain!"

(human being:)
"Nightflower's roots in me
are sucking out the will to be.
Until the hollow wrap
is not strong enough anymore.
But better a nightmare I'll never awake from
than an illusion I must let go!"

(later:)
"Down! The only left is the mortal I hate.
Don't cry over the grave I'm buried in!
You tears might poison the ice-ferns
on my corpse. I kiss you all! Good night!"

(the human being dies - and nobody cares...)
