A mind consumed in apathy
Can assume what it wants to see
Rapid thoughts of what the future holds
Can these predictions be completely wrong?

Words my remains in verbal plains
The things I've said are haunting me
Even more the ones that I believe

Now I've changed I've overcome
Yet nothing I feel is different
So powerful and under sung

Truths the meaning to behold
Not too soon before growing old
Watching bitterly as time rolls by
Instead of following your own advice

Took life for granted every moment crept
Now one step closer peering into crypt
Remembering that me and that me
Will my child breathe; the one that’s me?
