Lights around me... everywhere my eyes trying to find a piece of quiet, dark embrace
I’m breathing dust of old civilisations who have failed
I try to hide my face in hands too weak to hold the saving source

I’m waiting for summers end in my birchwood temple
waiting for the lights to fade, once and for all
suffering in burning shadows, praying for the dusk to come
grasping for relief in every breeze

Holding on to roots, reaching deep so strong and old - feeling their veins, poisoned with rust
meaningless desire carved into the skin of ancient gods - branded with ephemerality

Weakend fingers tasting wounds in rotting bark
chasing sunbeams like ropes - hanging from a broken sky

Nowhere to go, nowhere to hide
melting flesh under cracking skin
leaves fall to dust, grass turns black in glazing tears of solar rays

the earth is doomed to rest in fire
mourning about winters last breath, winters death
