Psychoroll - Stop Killing God

Tekst piosenki:

Church built of lies they’re selling god like a merchandise
And all the people turn away because they lost their spirit
But it’s not the way to give them monopoly
On what the world of souls could be and where we go from here
It’s a god damn shame when we use the name
But we do not even know what it is supposed to mean
It should help us wonder ‘bout what lies beyond there
But they tured it into a resentful and erratic human prick

Religion, stop killing God
Your superstitions are simply not
Giving us hope, enlightenment or wisdom
You build up impostors feeding hatred and schism

Religion, stop killing God
You turned the myth into something it’s not
It was supposed to give us comfort in darkness
You made it a refuge for the plain and the heartless

You manifest fairy tales requesting prayers and hails
When god would want us all to learn to make the right decision
You limit the questions, deny all suggestion
When god would want us all to try and comprehend existence
If God is anything it's a dynamic being
But you made it into a stiff, rigid and inflexible anachronism
If there's anything worse then your non-thinking
Then it is a smug, complacent and conceited atheist

Religion, stop killing God
Your superstitions are simply not
Giving us hope, enlightenment or wisdom
You build up impostors feeding hatred and schism

Religion, stop killing God
You turned the myth into something it’s not
It was supposed to give us comfort in darkness
You made it a refuge for the plain and the heartless

God is just what we call all that we cannot yet explain
It’s not God’s fault that there are wars being fought everywhere in that name
But now it’s time to reclaim our spiritual sanity
It’s time to purge our souls of their vanity
God ain‘t no puppet for all your evilness
It’s what each single one wants to believe it is

Religion, stop killing God
Your superstitions are simply not
Giving us hope, enlightenment or wisdom
You build up impostors feeding hatred and schism

Religion, stop killing God
You turned the myth into something it’s not
It was supposed to give us comfort in darkness
You made it a refuge for the plain and the heartless
