Bird of Hermes - My Grave Is Like to Be My Wedding Bed

Tekst piosenki:

Walking into the throne room, a large white train trails behind Charlotte.
The train of her wedding dress, given to her by Count Byron.
Still unsure of what she will do,
Charlotte has hidden a stake tucked safely into the garter
hidden beneath the skirt of her gown.

If she lets him change her immortality will be hers.
A curse he calls it, but she sees the blessings it could provide her.

He stands up from his throne.
A weak man approaches them wearing priest robes,
but with no life left in his eyes.
He begins the ceremony.
They exchange vows to each other.
Charlotte even says the words “I do.”

He places a black ring upon her finger.
“You may now kiss the bride,” the priest says with his dead eyes.
As Count Byron leans in for a kiss,
Charlotte reaches down beneath her dress.
Before she has time to think about it,
the stake is plunged deep into his heart.
Count Byron falls down to the ground.
“I love you” are the last words to leave his mouth.
Charlotte cries out.
