The Kelly Family - Audrey

Audrey was a girl inside of my classroom
She never said a word
She just sat there effectively

I've never known the story until I heard the radio
Telling about the way she took her life

Instead it's all upon the covers of the papers
About her folks and home
I guess her daddy's a drinker

Her mummy left her when she was just a tiny child
Tell me Audrey,
Was it first time you felt abandonment?

I kept just thinking about her,
There are some things I can't recall about her arms
They had blue spots on them

I remember then I think it started to myself
Is it wrong to wonder about somebody else's problems
I was burning with that all.
