Crown of Wallachia - Candlelit Caverns

One century passed
Since peace befell the land
Rumors abound of a growing doom
A hidden vampiric hand

Near the decrepit altar
A sinister howling bray
Doth tremble the abbey walls
As lightning shatters the grave

The unholy tyrant arises into
The putrid suffocating stench
Resurrecting his accursed fortress
Wolves and demons entrenched

The chosen warrior emerges
Of the old heroic clan
Clad in leather, armed with chain
Courage and skill unknown by man

Crossing the gates of the castle
Blades rise from under his boot
Unwavering holy solider
Constitution absolute

Undead fingers clawing for flesh
Birds of prey swirl in the skies
Nests of vipers approaching
As the meadow acidifies

Traversing a gauntlet
Of vanishing foes
His pathway collapses over
Fields of spikes below

As candlelit caverns
Crumble into stone

Mystical items sustain him
Onward to the throne

Plunged down to the dungeon
With it horrors buried deep

Ascending the towers
Into the outer keep

Death itself defeated
With a courageous slash
To Dracula’s quarters
For the final clash

The count wields bolts of evil
As flames fill the room
But one final whipping strike
Sends him back to his tomb
