Hollow is the tree of life

Silhouettes of things that are no more
Shades so dark where colours once thrived
And everywhere the water’s turned into sand

I’m standing on the ashes
Of a world that was my own
All around me there’s the silence
Of the words we won’t speak no more

We’ve built it up dream by dream we
Gave it life, watched it grow up
Gave it shapes, shapes of our own selves

Silhouettes are all that’s left now
Shades so dark, you took the colours
Broke my heart and went to start
Anew
