I looked into the world
An island of cinders, uncoiled
O'er tender waters, unspoiled
Below my feet, land so gray
By my own hands I was its prey
Hunted by a world tired of hope

An island snake
Gave into despair
Waters engulf her
Mighty hands ready to take
Temple down
forsaken now

I taint its shores with blood
A choir of lamentations misunderstood
I murder what is left of you
Burring bones o'er waters to renew

I prevail over the serpent
Black and deep

Rock shatters as I sleep
Under the ancient current

Alone and scattered in dread
Sons and daughters of loss

Our hearts are lighthouses for the dead

Try and come across
The vile tempests that entwine

All the words we have shared
I look into the distance

She swallows me
Dark waters engulf me
Down by the tides of gravity

To bury at long last
what I thought was given free
